About Amy

Amy is an Associate Musculoskeletal Therapist at Athletica Physical Health. She has completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Musculoskeletal Therapy). She has been a senior trainer and assessor for Endeavour College of Natural Health and has a current lecturing role in the Bachelor of Health Science (Musculoskeletal Therapy). 

 

Amy's assessment and treatment focuses on functional impairments in nerve, muscle, fascia and joints - the four pillar approach to treatment. She understands that chronic pain and biomechanical dysfunction are usually manifestations of poor movement patterns caused by past injuries or a lifetime of adaptation. Amy uses a vast erray of treatment techniques including neural manipulation, electrotherapeutic dry needling, spinal and peripheral joint mobilisation and Low Level Laser Therapy. 

 

Amy has a special interest in treating the cervical and thoracic spine as these areas contribute to a majority of neck pain and headaches. With many patients relying on analgesics for headache relief, Amy works with a variety of patients and conditions, but has a Special interest in treating - Mechanical neck pain - Cervicothoracic junction pain - Headaches and migraines
